# The Arzt House

> The Arzt House is a historic home in St. Louis, Missouri, built in 1876 by Dr. Franz Arzt.  Dr. Arzt designed a very creative home with a cave/grotto, a greenhouse attached to his main home, and a pond with waterfall.  The home was built with steel framing with all exterior and interior walls several bricks thick. It was also the first resident in St. Louis to feature radiant heat.
